Heather Zoccali - Executive Director and Founder


The Arch Foundation (TAF) was founded in 2017 by Heather Zoccali. Heather started The Arch Foundation after becoming a caregiver to her son, Connor. Connor was struck by a hit and run driver while walking to school March 10th, 2015, and continues to grow and learn life as a paraplegic. Heather quickly recognized the gap that exists for caregivers from this personal experience after being thrust into the caregiver role during her son's recovery and rehabilitation at Craig Hospital. This gap intensified after the transition home, when the day-to-day caregiving work truly begins. After much research and conversation with other caregivers, Heather found a common theme: caregivers are an often forgotten part of the rehabilitation and recovery part of this equation. She decided to take her experience and knowledge and launch The Arch Foundation. The Arch Foundation received its 501c3 status effective November 2017 and Heather was selected as its full-time Executive Director beginning September 1, 2018. The Arch Foundation has built strategic partnerships, engaged volunteers, established a Board of Directors and operational systems, implemented fundraising and community outreach efforts and refined programming. Heather took her firsthand, human experience with caregiving, and translated a background in brain-compatible dance education, her high emotional intelligence, and strong community partnerships to beginning building a network of support.


Board Members



Chris has worked for the City of Fort Collins for over twelve years in multiple financial roles.  Currently, he is the Financial Analyst for the Water and Wastewater funds and oversees approximately $60 million of budget annually.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Finance at Colorado State University and received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming.  He also holds the designation of Certified Treasury Professional and serves as a member of the test writing and review team.  A Colorado native, he grew up in Colorado Springs and has been living in Northern Colorado since 2006 with his wife Marisa and their two dogs.

Jen Barna - Secretary

Jen has over 16 years of healthcare experience in both clinical and non-clinical roles. She is a certified project management professional with 18+ years of project management experience in healthcare and other critical infrastructure industries. She is a successful process improvement lead and is respected as a professional mentor. From 2012 to 2013 Jen managed the revenue cycle component of a health information system implementation for the newly formed University of Colorado Health. This multiyear project included implementation at five hospitals statewide and over 200 clinics across three states. Currently, Jen is involved in maturing cybersecurity for energy and water infrastructure. Personally, Jen has been on the receiving end of intense long-term care from family, friends, and professional healthcare providers. She is eternally grateful to those who have gone above and beyond in supporting her and is honored to serve on the Arch Foundation board.

Carolina Sol Levy - Board Member

Carolina has been in an educator in Poudre School District for 20 years, dedicating her career serving students and families in bilingual immersion school. She feels passionate about creating opportunities for students of diverse socio-economic backgrounds to learn at high levels in two languages. She has participated in many building-wide initiatives and leadership roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and a Masters of Education from Lesley University. She is the mother of two teenagers, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. 


dan wellman - Board Member

Dan most recently worked for Qualfon Data Services as the Senior Human Resource Generalist. Previously he worked for a local non-profit as the Operations/HR Director. Dan is a licensed Healthcare Administrator and worked for two national corporations managing multiple sub-acute care facilities. He has an undergraduate degree in Sociology/Psychology and holds two designations as a certified Human Resource professional.   He grew up in Denver and has been living in Fort Collins since 1995 with his wife Lorrie.  


Ashlee Faulkner - Board Member

Ashlee was born and raised in Steamboat Springs Colorado and moved to Fort Collins in 2002. She pursued a career in cosmetology and worked doing hair until a motorcycle accident changed her direction. During recovery, she worked for a small health insurance company and fell in love with customer relations. She has been with Journey Employer Solutions (formerly TLC Employer Services) since 2012 running their sales and business development. She became an owner in 2014 and have enjoyed all the growth and success their company has had, and have learned a lot from all of trails and tribulations as well. She is passionate about her staff, work life balance and creating a positive and family like atmosphere for all to enjoy. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family, loving boyfriend and beautiful daughter. They love all things outdoors, supporting our community that supports them, and finding new places to venture to on their bikes in the summer! She loves helping people find solutions for their business, but most of all, learning about their business and business needs. She is a firm believer in kindness wins and promotes that in her every day life!
