Our Mission

Providing support for caregivers of people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) to find balance in their own lives.

OUR VISION

Our goal is to help caregivers maintain their sense of self within our community. We are here to listen, share resources, build you up so you feel strong to advocate for other people, offer a laugh over a cocktail, a shoulder to cry on, provide programming moments for you to take a deep breath for yourself, and share the challenges of managing the life of a loved-one with SCI and TBI.

The Arch Foundation was founded in 2017 by Heather Zoccali. Heather started The Arch Foundation after becoming caregiver to her son, Connor. Connor was struck by a hit and run driver while walking to school March 10th, 2015, and continues to grow and learn life as a T12 paraplegic.

“Being a caregiver takes you across the spectrum of all emotions and feelings: joy in the progress made, sadness from the pain you watch in your loved one, fatigue beyond what you’ve ever known before...but always hopeful because that’s just what you are and what you cling to!
— Anne Burnside
